This year, awards will be presented in the following categories:

National Award for Excellent and Outstanding Achievement in the legal representation of children.

Outstanding representation of Indigenous children.

In addition, Awards will be presented for outstanding representation of children and young people in each State and Territory.

The Awards are open to all solicitors, barristers, legal volunteers in legal centres or community organisations, legal policy workers and organisations or departments working in the area of children and the law.

The Awards endeavour to recognise both commitment over the years to quality representation and advocacy of children, as well as single instances of outstanding representation and/or advocacy. We encourage nominations of both experienced and newer practitioners, as well as committed legal volunteers in children’s legal issues. People may nominate themselves or another practitioner.
