* 27/10/99 Attorney-General's speech to the National Press Club Shaping Family Law For the Future  The Attorney said:
"
Neither option in the discussion paper gained significant support. The submissions overwhelmingly supported the retention of the status quo, with some minor
modifications, rather than complete replacement of the existing regime."
The Attorney indicated that he would be talking to the ALRC and the Family Law Council about the need for additional research.
