This practical workshop for indigenous individuals and groups looks at the Australian and international legal system and human rights, and considers how these rights can be best utilised by indigenous communities.
Facilitated by Bill Barker (of Human Rights International) and barrister David Vadiveloo, the workshop will explain concepts such as human rights; discrimination; human rights systems within the United Nations and Australia; and how to commence actions regarding human rights violations under these systems, and under Australian legislation.
