In response to concerns about child safety, WESNET (The Women's Emergency Services Network) is hosting a forum discussing the impact of the Family Law Reform Act 1995 on children, focusing on issues of domestic and family violence and child contact. The forum aims to increase community awareness of the impact of family violence and promote discussion of legal reform to better protect children from the impact of violence. Guest speakers include Zoe Rathus and Kathryn Rendell, Brisbane Women's Legal Service, co-authors of 'Unacceptable Risk: a report on child contact arrangements where there is family violence.'
