A conference exploring advocacy by community organisations.
The NSW Council of Social Services (NCOSS) is conducting a conference exploring advocacy and the way community welfare organisations seek to influence change in government policy and practice. Factors which hinder advocacy, such as funding pressures and the changing relationship between community organisations and government agencies will be explored, as will the strategies of recent advocacy campaigns by unions and the community sector.

The conference is for community organisations, consumers, unions and policy makers. The venue is the Masonic Centre, corner of Castlereagh and Goulburn Streets, Sydney.
