Most of this site deals with problems with ACT legislation. This page is about additional things that need to be done to overcome discrimination in the ACT against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people

Information about rights and responsibilities

There is really no published information available for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people in the ACT about their rights and responsibilities under ACT law.

For a great example of the kind of information that should be available for people in the ACT, in hard copy and on the web, take a look at the NSW Government's Acts of Passion web site.

http://www.actsofpassion.nsw.gov.au

What do you think? Is information of this kind needed in the ACT and if so, who do you think should provide it?

See Helping the Process for suggestions about how you can share your views.

ACT Government policy, programs and priorities

The report that the ACT Government is now working on is to include consideration of changes in ACT Government policy, programs or priorities that would improve outcomes for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex people in the ACT.

If you have suggestions about how particular policies, programs or priorities could be improved, see Helping the Process for suggestions about how you can share your views.

What else?

If you see that other things need to be done, please put your views forward. See Helping the Process for suggestions about how you can share your views.
