Women Wise Up
a NSW Symposium in support of Women’s Human Rights

When: Thursday 8th of February in the evening to noon Sunday 11^th of February 2001

Where: University of NSW, Kensington, Sydney, NSW

USING THE UN TO ADVANCE THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN

Following on from Beijing +5, the UN review of the Beijing women’s conference,

‘Women Wise Up’

conference will be held over 3 days and has a dynamic and outcome oriented agenda!

Participants will be able to:

Develop their understanding and expertise with respect to the UN instruments and documents – BPFA, OP, ICC and ICPD.

Analyse the gains and losses of the Beijing +5 Review process for women in Australia and the Asia Pacific region

Contribute to Australian input into sub regional and international outcomes from Beijing +5

Costs:

Conference only: $120 government $90 individual $70 concession

* Includes morning and afternoon tea.

Conference daily rate: $40 goverment, $30 individual, $25 concession

* Includes morning and afternoon tea.

Lunch: Fri & Sat - each $13
Welcome drings / nibbles $18
Dinner, cabaret/disco: $50

Accommodation
Accommodation available for $35 per night at the University.

Also add 10% GST to your total.

Registration received after 8 January 2001 will incur a $20 surcharge.
